Indulge in a cheat day – within reason!
Total deprivation can lead to binge eating, so don’t restrict yourself entirely. Just remember these tips on cheat days:
- Avoid processed foods
- Make your own treats or buy from local farmers markets when possible
- Substitute unhealthy ingredients with healthier versions
- Experiment in the kitchen so that creating healthy versions of your favorite comfort foods becomes an enjoyable activity
