Rich in probiotics, this fizzy, fermented tea can do wonders for anyone trying to lose weight! Research has shown that there’s a strong connection between gut health, weight gain, and obesity. The millions of bacteria in our gut plays a large role in how we balance our blood sugar, adapting the way we store fat, and how the body reacts to the hormones that determines if we feel hungry or full.
When we provide our bodies with foods and drinks that promote good gut health, we’ll give ourselves a head start at losing unwanted pounds! When adding kombucha to your diet, make sure to look for bottles that have less than 5 grams of sugar.

Sleep is incredibly important for weight loss! If you’re having trouble getting to bed, try turmeric milk tea! This warming, cozy tea is loaded with tryptophan and calcium (typically found in dairy products) which helps the brain create melatonin – a sleep inducing hormone that occurs naturally in the body.
Turmeric has curcumin that is known for reducing the size of adipose cells to help limit the amount of fat stored in the body. Curcumin can also help to reduce inflammation, relieve anxiety, and promotes the benefits of antioxidants.

Coffee lovers and fitness fans already know that coffee is packed with a number of benefits like improved performance at the gym, better energy expenditure, and more calories burned during workouts. A recent study in the Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness discovered that drinking 2 cups of coffee prior to a workout allowed participants to do 12% more bench presses and 20% more leg presses than usual.
Coffee is also linked to stabilizing the hormones that are responsible for balancing blood sugar. Stabilizing your blood sugar is important for your fitness goals, weight loss endeavors, and overall well-being! When your blood sugar is in check, your body will be better equipped to burn fat without storing it.
It’s important to note that the incredible health benefits of coffee only apply to black coffee. Sugary, creamy coffees (think frappes, lattes and mochas) won’t help you when it comes to weight loss or maintaining your hormone levels.
