Tangerines
Harju-Westman says, “Vitamin C helps the body produce more collagen, while vitamin A helps the hair stay hydrated by increasing the production of sebum.” Eating tangerines can also help you slow down the graying process! Tangerines are packed with Vitamin B12 which prevents your body from creating hydrogen chloride which can bleach your hair.
Spinach
Spinach is packed with iron, which is an important mineral for strong hair. Spinach is also a great source of potassium, calcium and zinc which keeps the hair follicles strong!
Sweet Potato
Harju-Westman says, “A well-known superfood, sweet potato is great for keeping your hair healthy, as it is rich in beta-carotene.” Beta-carotene encourages healthy hair growth by producing more sebum in the scalp and skull. Carrots and pumpkin are also excellent sources of beta-carotene for a beautiful mane!
Almonds
There’s a very good reason why so many shampoos and conditioners include almond oil. Almonds are rich with vitamin E and manganese which are known for their abilities to keep hair thick, healthy and strong! “A quarter cup of almonds will give you almost half of your recommended intake of vitamin E and manganese, both of which can promote hair growth,” explains Harju-Westman
