If you are going to make exercise part of your life, then workout gear is essential. Having great workout clothes can also motivate you to want to wear them and stick to your exercise routine! There are tons of options out there but here is a guide to make it all easier for you.

Lululemon is definitely the cool workout brand to wear. With many stylish options, you’ll be sure to find something you love, but beware, it does not come cheap. Tanks run in the fifty dollar range and pants in the eighty dollar range. The upside is that clothes have a great fit, give good performance, and will be long-lasting. Great basic pieces to invest in is the Yea Yoga tank and the Wunder Under pant. They can both go from the gym to meeting friends for coffee. Buy basic colors like black and white so you can wear them over and over and no one will know!
The cheapest: Forever 21
Forever 21 now has a great active wear line and it is super affordable, running between seven to twenty five dollars. Here is where you can go crazy with colors and styles without breaking the bank. They offer a variety of pants, tights, sport bras, and tops in different prints and styles. Mix these in with your more expensive gear to create many looks. The performance may be lacking compared to the more expensive counterpart, but will last around a year. Going into the store can be overwhelming, so if you prefer, you can also buy online.
Best Performance: Nike Dri-fit
Nike Dri Fit is one of my favorite brands of workout gear. I have had key pieces from there for three years and they still look new. While everyone at the gym is sweating and showing on their workout clothes, I am comfortable and dry. The clothes also offer cool hidden pockets and zippers for things like credit cards and keys. If you invest in one thing from this line, I suggest the dri-fit socks. They are a must have when going to the gym. You can shop this brand online at Nike town stores or Khols.
Most Convenient: Target
If you are already doing shopping for the house at Target, you can pick up great workout gear from C9 by Champion at Target. This is a great, flattering line with many different styles and colors, and also well-priced. While you are there, you can also pick up all the rest of your workout gear, like ponytails, deodorant, sports bras, and protein bars. It’s a one stop shop for everything!
